Introduction
The Savvygen FluA, FluB & RSV is a one step multiplex Real-Time PCR kits for the simultaneous detection of Influenza A, Influenza B & Human Respiratory Syncytial Virus.
Influenza A and B viruses cause the majority of viral lower respiratory tract infections. Elderly and compromised individuals are especially at risk of developing severe illness and complications. After an incubation period of several days, the illness has an rapid onset, with chills, fever, myalgia, headache and anorexia. Human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection causes mostly a cold-like illness, but it can also cause bronchitis, croup, and lower respiratory infections like bronchiolitis and pneumonia.
The Savvygen™ Flu A, Flu B & RSV test is a ready-to used test which contains in each well all the necessary reagents for real time PCR assay in a stabilized format. In addition, an internal control allows the detection of a possible reaction inhibition.
